Always Remember for Whom and What We are trained to do.

While we walk thepeace-maker_01 line of death sacrificing and risking our lives in order to protect others, the irony and cynicism of our work can begin to cloud our vision of our mission.   It is easy to lose sight of whom we ultimately work for and what our priorities and significance are. It is important to always remember that God is whom we ultimately work for and that we are part of his design and his goal.

The supervisors at work, dispatchers behind the radio, and politicians behind the marbled walls are fallible.  Fear of our foes, deadly in their hidden guises, may cause us to deviate from our righteous path.  The resentment of the unappreciative public may build a wall of anger causing us to abandon our post.  Even our own egos may get in the way between ourselves and God.

God understands and recognizes the daunting tasks and selfless sacrifices faced by the peacemakers of this world.  As we conduct ourselves as peacemakers and as the hands and feet of our God, let us encourage each other to stand ready and firm against all circumstances of troubles and of evil.  God will bless us as his own children.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Matthew 5:9
