Wait Till My Release Should Come

If a man die, shall he live again?

All the days of my warfare would I wait,

Till my release should come.

Job 14:14

Law enforcement, fire, public safety, and emergency medical service professionals are never off duty; they are dedicated public servants who uphold the cause and sworn to protect public safety and preserving lives… any time, any place where peace is disrupted and the weak is threatened.  The unrelenting dedication, commitment, and vigilance of these peacekeepers of God are the weapons and armours against the cruel violence and injustice inflicted by the evil ones in this imperfect world.

Let us trust that God knows the difficult burden, lonely solitude, and consuming apprehension in our line of work.  The extraordinary challenges are what made us the exemplary ambassadors of God to display his characters and glories.  Do not be discouraged in those weary and dark hours.  As you step into the Emergency Department, see the hospital as your church.  As you step into the fire truck and ambulance, see the community as your church.  As you step into your patrol car, see the city as your church.

In God’s service, we will continue carrying on warfare against the evil ones in order to defend the weak and preserve peace.  Wherever we go and wherever we work, we will make that place our church and attend that pasture of lost sheep. May God give us the strength, courage, and wisdom to be His hands and feet in serving his lost sheep.

Let us pray: In all of my days, I will uphold the cause.  I will dedicate and commit my life to fight my warfare in honor of my God… till my release should come.  If I die, I shall live in Christ Jesus.
