As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me.

For over forty years of my life, I fought against God. In my experience in law enforcement and emergency department, the sights and sounds of daily human tragedies screamed so loud that it had gotten to the point that I could hardly get up to go to work.
I fought hard against God because I could not believe a loving and faithful God of truth would permit these daily heartaches to happen. Despair and desperation were on one side, and I alone on the other, fighting in tears and blood and struggling for life but without a cause.
One day, the Spirit inside awoke me and tested me, “if I could change anything in my life, past or present, what would that be?” Despite all the afflictions and sufferings in my life, I honestly could not find one thing that I would change. Although these experiences caused me tears and blood, I would not trade these experience for anything else as they made who I am proudly today.
It is truly a gift of God that I may find satisfaction in my toils. It was at that very moment that I realized that God has always been next to me and given me what I needed, even if it was not what I asked for. I called to my God Jesus Christ, and He saved me.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
for as many years as we have seen trouble.
Psalm 90:15
